Fixin' it Up

Writer's picture: Mark BentsenMark Bentsen

Mary Ann doesn't like how her landscapes looks. So she needed some ideas. But, let's keep it simple. Here are some easy plants for a low maintenance landscape.

-For a low maintenance hedge Baby Gem Boxwood is a good choice. And it's one of the best boxwoods for our area.

-Dwarf Burford Holly is one of my favorites. It can take full sun or partial shade.

-Yew Podocarpus a good choice low maintenance and drought resistance.

-Variegated Japanese Sedge is a great plant for sun or shade. And deer don't eat it.

-Asparagus sprengeri might freeze back in the winter but it will return in the spring.

-Same is true with Foxtail Fern, which is also a Asparagus variety.

This is it for today. Let me know if you have any questions.
